MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL STUDY SESSION
AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Tuesday, May 20, 2008
Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:10 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council
members Halverson, Brausen, Rowan, Youakim and City Manager Rick Getschow.
Other:
• City Manager Getschow provided an update on the 2008 US Women's Open. It is anticipated that the agreement between the
City and the US Chief of the use of Interlachen Park will be on the June 3'd agenda. There may be the need for discussion for
this item at the May 27`" City Council Worlc Session.
• The City Manager provided an update on the Legislative session that had just ended days earlier.
• Council member Halverson asked for an update on the habitat lots. The City Manager stated that the project is still moving
forward as far as he knows and the realtor signs typically stay on the lot until closing.
• The City Manager stated that almost every Planning Commission member was able to attend Planning Commission member
training within the last thirty days.
• City Manager Getschow handed out a spreadsheet that had been completed on behalf of a resident that felt all of the property
values for 2007 and 2008 in a particular neighborhood of Hopkins.
• City Manager Getschow stated that the City Council work session of May 27`'' will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the ICA food shelf.
The City Council will be getting a tour of the food shelf on that evening
With no further business, a motion was made by Brausen, seconded by Youakim to adjourn the meeting. The
motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 pm.
