BUSINESS Prior to starting the business agenda, Meg graciously provided the Board with a look at Joy Louise Slindee, her beautiful sleeping 3 week old baby girl! Wow! Meeting via Zoom video has its advantages! A. Promoting Hopkins' Parks — 2021 Parks/Trails Passport Proms Anna Pohmer went through her PowerPoint presentation with the Board and there was a lengthy discussion on several aspects of what a Hopkins program might look like, including: ease of access to the program, possible themes, which parks to consider, how to measure level of interest, phasing and timing of the program. It was decided to try for a Feb 1 launch of the program focusing on Hilltop Park. Emma Figgins agreed to graphically design a PDF document and all members will come up with potential content. The goal of the document and initial phase is to challenge and spur family interest in participating and experiencing Hilltop Park and the city's park system as a whole. The ideas for the document will be shared via email up until the December 21 Park Board meeting where they will be finalized. The goal is then to have a draft PDF document at the January 25 meeting. Steve Stadler will check to determine how the city might be able to gauge interest by tracking downloads of the document or other electronic methods. B. Other Topics of Interest There was a brief discussion on use of the city -provided laptop computers and what apps might be permitted as most are locked out currently. Stadler mentioned that the computers were provided to facilitate virtual meetings by the Hopkins Boards and Commissions. They were funded via the CARES Act for that purpose. Stadler will follow-up with IT on the ability to use various apps and relay that information to members. F. Park Area Assignment Report Kyle Kaczmarek: Nothing to report (NTR.)
