Approve Temporary 3.2, Beer On Sale License
for the Hopkins Jaycees During Raspberry Festival
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption 'of the following motion: Move to approve the Hopkins Area
Jaycees applications fortemporarv 3.2 beer licenses from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on July 9
and 10 and July 16 and 17. 2004 in lot 300 and from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on July 10and
11. 2004 at Central Park. with the condition that Hopkins Police Officers are providinasecurity
for the dances.
This action will allow the Jaycees to sell beer, on-sale, at the tent dances, family days, and at
Central Park for the softball tournament.
Overview
The Hopkins Area Jaycees have applied forthree licenses to sell 3.2 beer, on-sale, during
Raspberry Days. One license is for the first weekend tent dances, the second is for the second
, weekend, including Saturday afternoons of both weekends, the third license is for the softball
tournament at Central Park.
. A certificate of insurance that shows liquor liability coverage fortheevent has been submitted.
The Hopkins Police Department has reviewed. the application and has found no.reason to deny
the application.
