Approve LiquJr License Applications for the License year 2004/2005
Staff recommends approval of the following motion:. Move to approve the attached
Liquor License renewals for 2004/2005along with their supporting licenses, contingent
on Police Approval, receiving certificates of insurance, and payment of all fees.
This action will allow the applications to be processed and mailed to Liquor Control for
approval and issuance as the insurance companies release certificates of insurance.
Overview
As of this date, all liquor license renewal applications are in.
The Hopkins Police Department has reviewed all the applications. Not all applications
have been approved by the Police Department at this time. Approval has been withheld
on those applications that are not complete. Three did not list the recent liquor
violations. One was not signed.
Typically, the insurance companies fax the certificates of insurance directly to the office.
. Sometimes they are slow about faxing them. Others will not fax the certificate until all
premiums are paid. They are always here in time to certify or send to the State Liquor
Control.
This year, seven licensees failed routine compliance checks. They are Lindee's, the
Hopkins American Legion, the Hopkins VFW, MGM Liquor Warehouse, Hopkins Liquor,
Mac's Liquor and Best Buy Liquor Warehouse.
