Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that council adopt
Resolution 2001-17, Accepting Work and Ordering Final Payment. Mainstreet /17th
Avenue, S.A. P. 132-341-08, City Proiect 99-11.
Overview
The contractor has completed upgrading of traffic signals at the Mainstreet /17th
Avenue intersection and performed punch list items to the City's satisfaction.
Primary Issues to Consider
. Accepting work and final payment
The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done
satisfactorily. Documents still forthcoming before a final check can be issued
are a signed certificate of completion. In the meantime staff recommends
approval for final payment.
. Resolution 2001-17
Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work,
orders final payment, and initiates a one-year warranty on this contract work.

RESOLUTION NO. 2001 - 17
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT
MAINSTREET I 17TH AVENUE SIGNAL REVISIONS
PROJECT 99-11
WHEREAS, Council approved Project 99-11 on April 4th, 2000 and;
WHEREAS, City entered into a contract with Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Co. on May
17,2000 adjusted by supplemental agreementNo. 1 on October 10,2000 and;
WHEREAS, Electrical Installation & Maintenance, Co. has satisfactorily completed upgrading
of traffic signals at the Mainstreetl 1 ih Avenue intersection, commonly known as City Project
99-11, in accordance with such contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and
approved.
2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the
contractor's receipt in full.
3. A one - year warranty on contract work shall commence as of this resolution.
