Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that council adopt
Resolution 2001-08 . Resolution Acceptina Work and Orderina Final Payment. Phase I
Excelsior Boulevard Landscapina. Proiect 93-11.
Overview
The landscape contractor has completed boulevard plantings and irrigation system
installation along Phase I of Excelsior Boulevard reconstruction (9th Ave. - Shady Oak
Rd.). Punch list items have been completed to the City's satisfaction. Council needs to
act on the final pay request to close the project.
Primary Issues to Consider
. Accepting work and final payment
The contractor has met all contract obligations and the work is done
satisfactorily. Documents still forthcoming before a final check can be
issued are lien waivers, forms IC-134, and a signed certificate of
completion.
. Resolution 2001-08
Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work,
order final payment, and initiates a one - year warranty on the contract
work.
. Staff recommendation
Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 2001-08 authorizing final
payment.

RESOLUTION NO. 2001 - 08
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT
PHASE I EXCELSIOR BOULEVARD LANDSCAPING
PROJECT 93-11
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on March 8, 2000, Arteka
Corporation, has satisfactorily completed construction of boulevard landscaping, commonly
known as City Project 93-11, in accordance with such contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and
approved.
2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the
contractor's receipt in full.
3. A one - year warranty on contract work shall comtnence as of this resolution.
Adopted by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota this 6th day of February, 2001.
