Council Report 2001-191
Authorize Final Payment
Moline Water Tower Painting Proiect
City Proiect 98-06
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt
Resolution 2001-90, Resolution Accepting Work and Ordering Final Payment, Moline
Water Tower Painting, City Proiect 98-06.
Overview
The contractor has completed the painting of the Moline Water Tower and has completed
all punch list items to the City's satisfaction.
Primary Issues to Consider
· Accepting Work and Final Payment
The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done
satisfactorily and all the necessary documents and final payment submittals
have been received. Staff recommends approval for final payment.
· Project Budget
The final contract project cost is $525,750.00, which is exactly the bid
award amount that was approved for the project. One change order totaling
$5,000 was authorized, but during construction it was decided not to do the
change order item, and thus it was removed from the final payment.
· Resolution 2001-90
Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work,
orders final payment, and initiates a two- year warranty on the contract
work.
