Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt
Resolution 2001-94, Resolution Accepting Work and Ordering Final Payment, Madison
Avenue Storm Sewer Improvements, City Project 00-13.
Overview
The contractor has completed the construction of the Madison Avenue Storm Sewer
Improvements and has completed all punch list items to the City's satisfaction.
Primary Issues to Consider
· Accepting Work and Final Payment
The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done
satisfactorily and all the necessary documents and final payment submittals
have been received. Staff recommends approval for final payment.
· Project Budget
The final contract project cost is $48,172.00, which is slightly under the bid
award amount of $48,577.00 that was approved for the project. No change
orders were necessary for this proj ect.
· Resolution 2001-94
Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work,
orders final payment, and initiates a one- year warranty on the contract
work.

RESOLUTION NO. 2001-94
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT
MADISON AVENUE STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT 00-13
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on July 18, 2001, Metro Utilities,
Inc., has satisfactorily completed construction of the Madison A venue Storm Sewer
Improvements, commonly kno~ as City Project 00-13, in accordance with such contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and
approved.
2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the
contractor's receipt in full.
3. A one-year warranty on contract work shall commence as of the date of this
resolution.
