Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt
Resolution 2001-77. Resolution Accepting Work and Ordering Final Payment Water
Treatment Plant #4 Renovation. City Project 99-08.
Overview
The contractor has completed the renovation of Water Treatment Plant #4 and has
completed all punch list items to the City's satisfaction.
Primary Issues to Consider .
· Accepting Work and Final Payment
The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done
satisfactorily and all the necessary documents and final payment submittals
have been received. Staff recommends approval for final payment.
· Project Budget
The final project cost is $364,417.13 which is well under the $384,175
budget that was originally approved for the project. Two change orders
totaling $17,167.13 were authorized during construction.
· Resolution 2001- 77
Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work,
orders final payment, and initiates a one- year warranty on the contract
work.

RESOLUTION NO. 2001-77
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT
WATER TREATMENT PLANT #4 RENOVATION
CITY PROJECT 99-08
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on February 17, 2000, Municipal
Builders, Inc., has satisfactorily completed renovation of Water Treatment Plant #4, commonly
known as City Project 99-08, in accordance with such contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and
approved.
2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the
contractor's receipt in full.
3. A one-year warranty on contract work shall commence as of this resolution.
Adopted by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 16th day of October, 2001.
