A TT ACHMENT B
Promotion of diversity, equal opportunity and mutual respect should not only be a goal of the
City of Hopkins, but all communities throughout the United States. Of particular concern to me
is, that parents fail to install the understanding of diversity to their children. Of equal concern to
me is that both the parents and children of some ages, gender, socioeconomic status, race or
creed may be subject to isolation, lack of educational and vocational opportunities. Of course,
the fair resolution of existing and possible conflicts is a priority_ I guess I could speak volumes
on this subject. If appointed, I am sure that fellow commissioners would prefer I not do so! I
hope to have demonstrated via this document my interest re a position on the Human Rights
Commission.
