November 29, 2000 HOPKINS Council Report 2000-198 Authorize final Payment Sidewalk Repair Project 00 - 04 Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that council adopt Resolution 2000 - 88, Resolution Accepting Work and OrderinQ Final Payment, Sidewalk Repair Project 00 - 04. Overview The contractor has completed sidewalk repair undertaken in 2000 and performed on punch list items to the City's satisfaction. Primary Issues to Consider . Accepting work and final payment The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done satisfactorily. Documents still forthcoming before a final check can be issued are lien waivers, forms IC-134, and a signed certificate of completion. In the meantime staff recommends approval for final . payment. . Resolution 2000 - 88 Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work, orders final payment, and initiates a one-year warranty on the contract work. Supportin~ Information . CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTIN NO. 2000 - 88 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT 00 - 04 WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on August 8, 2000, Ron Kassa Construction Inc. has satisfactorily completed city - wide sidewalk repairs, commonly known as City Project 00~04 in accordance with such contract, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and approved. 2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the contractor's receipt in full. . 3. A one - year warranty on contract work shall commence as of this resolution. Adopted by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota this 5th day of December, 2000. Eugene J.
