From:
Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council
Steven C. Mielke, City Manager
January 7, 2000
Council Member Selection Process
Date:
Subject:
At the January 4 work session City Council determined that it would review the
applications for the Council position at the January 11 work session. In addition to each
Council member selecting their top ten candidates and comparing the results to
determine an interview list, Council also requested that staff provide the St. Louis Park
and Plymouth interview materials so that interview questions can be determined in
advance of the January 25 interviews. Attached are the materials from those two
. communities.
For the Council's information, there was at least one other contact with the City Clerk
who had asked if the deadline had passed. When informed that it had, this contact
dropped the issue. Council will need to determine whether or not it wishes to consider
this applicant.
