Ovprview Non union employees received a 2.5% wage increase on January 1, 2000. This was the budgeted amount for wage increases. Since that time contracts have been settled with four unions. (The police officer's association has approved a settlement. The contract will be brought to the City Council at the July 18 Council meeting.) Union wage increases for 2000 range between 3.8% and 7%. In order to keep non union wages in line with union wage increases, I am proposing an additional 1 % increase in non union wages effective July 1, 2000. . Primary T'j:sues to Consider .
