APPROVE FINAL PAYMENT
1998 STREET AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECTS 97 -12 AND 98-02
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt
Resolution 2000-31, Resolution Acceptinq Work and Orderinq Final Payment, Projects
97-12 and 98-02.
Overview
The contractor has completed mill and overlay work associated with Project 97-12 and
the street/utility work in the Interlachen Park neighborhood, Project 98-02. All punch list
items have been performed on to the engineer's satisfaction and the consultant
recommends final payment.
Primary Issues to Consider
. Accepting work and final payment
The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done
satisfactorily and the contractor has submitted consent of surety to final
payment (in lieu of lien waivers) and forms IC-134. A signed certificate of
completion is forthcoming. Staff recommends approval of final payment.
. Resolution 2000-31
Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work,
orders final payment, and initiates a one-year warranty on the contract work.

RESOLUTION NO. 2000-31
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT
PROJECTS 97-12 AND 98-02
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the
City on July 28, 1998, Hardrives, Inc. has satisfactorily
completed mill and overlay improvements and street/utility
improvements, commonly known as City Projects 97-12 and 98-02 In
accordance with such contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby
declared accepted and approved.
2 .
Order for final payment on such contract is hereby
ordered, taking the contractor's receipt in full.
3 .
A one-year warranty on contract work shall commence as
of this resolution.
Adoption by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota this 16th day
of May, 2000.
