Authorize final Payment
Alley Project 00-02
Proposed Action.
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 2000-
67, Resolution Accepting Work and Ordering Final Payment, Alley Improvement Project 00-02.
Overview.
The contractor has completed the alley improvements undertaken in 2000 and performed on
punch list items to the City's satisfaction.
Primary Issues to Consider.
. Accepting work and final payment
The contractor has met all contract obllgations. The work is done satisfactorily.
Documents still forthcoming before a final check can be paid are lien waivers (or Consent
of Surety), forms IC-134, and a signed certificate of completion. In the meantime staff
recommends approval for final payment.
. Resolution 2000-67
. Adoption of this resolution fomlally acknowledges completion of the work, orders final
payment, and initiates a one-year warranty on the contract work.

RESOLUTION NO 2000-67
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT-
ALLEY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 00-02
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on May 10, 2000, Ron
Kassa Constmction Inc. has satisfactorily completed alley improvements between 1 ihl1Sth
A venues North and ih/sth A venues North, commonly known as City Project 00-02 in accordance
with such contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and
approved.
. 2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the
contractor's receipt in full.
3. A one-year warranty on contract work shall commence as of this resolution.
Adopted by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota this 19th day of September, 2000.
