staff recommends the following motion: Move that council adopt
Resolution 97-38. Resolution Establishinq Parkinq Limits on 11th
Avenue South.
Overview.
Plans have been completed and bids taken concerning the 11th
Avenue South reconstruction project from the Soo Line Bridge to
the Hennepin County Rail Authority R.O.W. This project will be
funded by State Aid and plans need final MN/DOT approval. That
approval hinges on a council resolution that essentially
reaffirms an existing condition: no parking is allowed on either
side of 11th Avenue within the boundaries named above.
primarv Issues to Consider.
o What are current parking restrictions?
No parking is permitted on either side of 11th Avenue from
County Road 3 to the Soo Line Bridge. Some past Council

search of City records has proved unsuccessful.
o What does the resolution propose?
The resolution affirms and promulgates the current
regulation that bans all parking on either side of 11th
Avenue from the Soo Line Bridge to county Road 30
o Staff reqommendation.
Staff recommends approval of Resolution 97-38 to complete
the MN/DOT approval processo
