3.2 BEER PERMIT FOE CHURCH OF ST. JOSEPH
Staff recommends approval of the following motion: Move that the Citv Council
approve a 3.2 beer permit for the Church of St. Joseph for Saturday. September 13,
1997, to cover the hours from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and for Sunday, September
14. 1997, to cover the hours from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and that a Hopkins Police
Officer shall be retained by the Church of St. Joseph to act as security for the event.
Overview
Norman J. Olafson has applied on behalf of the church and will be responsible for the
permit. The event is for the annual Fall Festival. He has requested a time frame of
6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, the 13"`. The Policy allows the sale of beer
between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.
The Hopkins Police Department has found no reason to deny the application.
