CR 97-198 Final Payment - Moline Wellhouse RemodelingOctober 30, 1997 ` t Y O G .c H e O P K ` N Council Report No. 97-198 ORDER FINAL PAYMENT MOLINE WELLHOUSE REMODELING PROJECT 95-OS Proposed Action, Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 97-108, Resolution Acceptin~Work and Ordering Final PaX[nent, Moline wellhouse Remodeling. Overview. The contractor has completed work associated with remodeling of the Moline Wellhouse. The contractor has performed on punch list items to the engineers and City~s satisfaction. Primarv Issues to Consider. o Accepting work and final payment The contractor has met his contract work obligations. The work is done satisfactorily. Documents still needed are lien wavers, IC-134 withholding forms and a signed Certificate of Final Completion. The contractor is currently gathering that information. Staff recommends approval of final payment with a check tendered upon receipt of the above documents. Resolution 97-108 Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of work, orders final payment, and initiates a specified warranty period on the contract work. Suvportina Information. Resolution 97-108 Y~""-'~ J es Gessele Engineering Superintendent CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 97-108 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK & ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT - MOLINE WELLHOUSE REMODELING WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on May 30, 1996, M. C. Magney Construction Inc. has satisfactorily completed the improvement of remodeling the Moline Wellhouse, commonly known as City Project 95-05, in accordance with such contract, NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Hopkins, Minnesota: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the contractor's receipt in full. 3. The specified warranty period on contract work shall commence upon the adoption of this resolution. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota, this 5th day of November, 1997.
