To: Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council
From: Steven C. Mielke, City Manager
Date: February 6, 1998
Subject: Hopkins Center for the Arts Joint Resolution
Staff was given direction to prepare a joint resolution for adoption by the City Council
and the arts operations board, which details the goals, roles, and responsibilities of the
Council and the operations board from this point forward.
Staff distributed a draft resolution in January, with a request for comments. The
resolution has also been forwarded to the operations board for their review and
comment.
It is hoped that both bodies can conclude dialogue on this topic and have it adopted by
both boards in the near future.
At the work session, staff will request discussion and direction with regard to the
resolution, and will then forward those comments to the operations board, who will be
meeting on Wednesday, February 11.
