the charge of the City Council to the Hopkins Center for the Arts Operations Board.
Adoption of this motion will outline an understanding between the operations board and the City
Council as it pertains to the Hopkins Center for the Arts.
Overview
In December of 1997, the City Council and the operations board for the Hopkins Center for the
Arts met to discuss roles, responsibilities, and relationships surrounding the Center. Based
upon that discussion, it was determined appropriate and necessary for a joint resolution
between the City Council and the operations board to be passed so as to clarify the
responsibilities of both parties with regard to the Center.
Staff has formulated a resolution that has been reviewed by both bodies, and now appears
