Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 98-090, Resolution Acceptinq Work and Orderinq Final Payment, 1998 Sidewalk Repair Prolect. Overview. The contractor has completed a project for the random repair of City sidewalks in inspection zone 3. The contractor has performed on punch list items to the engineer's satisfaction and the consultant recommends final payment. Primary Issues to Consider. . o Accepting work and final payment The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done satisfactorily and the contractor has submitted the necessary lien waivers and IC-134 withholding form. A signed certificate of completion is forthcoming. Staff recommends approval of final payment in the amount of $6,075.92. o Resolution 98-090 Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work, orders final payment! and initiates a one-year warranty on the contract work. CITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 98-090 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT- 1998 SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on July 17, 1998, Ron Kassa, Construction, Inc. , has satisfactorily completed the improvement of random sidewalk repair, commonly known as City Project 98-04 in accordance with such contract, NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA: 1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved. 2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby . ordered, taking the contractor's receipt in full. 3. A one-year warranty on contract work shall commence upon the adoption of this resolution.
