JUNE 27, 2022
CALL TO ORDER
Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Hopkins Park Bo ard was
held on Monday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 1010 1st
Street South.
Chair Meg Slindee called the meeting to order with Commissioners Miller, Stiele, Waitz,
Jefferson and Figgins. Staff present included Management Analyst Imihy Bean.
ADOPT AGENDA
Motion by Stiele Second by Waitz.
Motion to Adopt the Agenda.
Ayes: All.
Nays: None. Motion carried.
No public comment.
CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Waitz. Second by Jefferson.
Motion to Approve the Consent Agenda.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Presentation from Minnehaha Creek Watershed District
There were several questions from the board for the Watershed District. Member Waitz
had questions regarding public bathrooms, delays/timeline changes and how many
people per day would be served. Chair Slindee had questions about parking/walkability
and ties to Hopkins. Member Jefferson had questions about how the site will engage
community sooner, construction issues and wondering if the City has any say on
businesses. Member Stiele had questions about who owns the boathouse. She also is
worried it will become a bubble for residents and worried about personal flotation devices.
Member Miller had questions about liquor licenses.
GENERAL PARK UPDATE
Ann Davy from Minnetonka Parks and Recreation was not present to offer the
Minnetonka recreation update and Imihy Bean gave this update along with the new
