_____________________________________________________________________
RECOMMENDED ACTION
MOTION TO Adopt a Proclamation Recognizing March as MS Awareness Month.
OVERVIEW
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month in Minnesota, like in many other places,
serves to raise awareness about this chronic neurological condition and support those
affected by it. Multiple Sclerosis is a disease in which the immune system attacks the
protective covering of nerves, leading to communication problems between the brain
and the rest of the body. Symptoms can vary widely and may include fatigue, difficulty
walking, numbness or weakness in limbs, vision problems, and more.
MS Awareness Month aims to foster greater understanding, support, and solidarity for
individuals and families impacted by this complex condition.
A proclamation will be provided at the meeting.
