CR 95-213 Approve Disabled Transfer Zone
November 29, 1995 Proposed Action. Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 95 -108 approving installation of a disabled transfer zone at 50 -7th Avenue South. Overview. The City's ordinance concerning disabled parking and transfer zones allows for such space on residential streets based on a permit system. After initial application to the City, the resident must renew the request each subsequent year and pay the yearly $25.00 permit fee. Primary Issues to Consider. Eligibility The managers of the Hopkins Plaza Apartments have requested a transfer zone at 50 -7th Avenue South to facilitate loading /unloading of a disabled resident. The managers have submitted the required $25.00 fee with the request. The resident demonstrates a clear need for such a zone and meets eligibility requirements under ordinance provisions. The Transfer zone is to be located at 50 -7th Avenue South as shown on the attached location map. Notification Residents within a 350 foot radius of the proposed transfer zone have been notified of this application and Council consideration of same.
