Overview Phase I of the aerial tower truck is nearing completion, (Council Report 93-15) . pierce Manufacturing of Appleton, Wisconsin submitted a proposal for Phase II complete for $160,549.00. The amount budgeted for the truck refurbishment in the equipment replacement fund is $175,000.00. The cost for Phase I & II is . $35,365.00 over budget. with the service life of the truck being extended to 20 years, the fire administration feels the additional cost is justifiable. The proposal for fire apparatus conforms with all Federal Department of Transportation (DOT} mles and regu- lations in effect at the time of bid, and with all National Fire Protection Association INFPA) Guidelines for Automotive Fire Apparatus as published at the time of hid, except as modified by customer specifications. Any increased costs incurred by first party because of future changes in or additions to said DOT or NFPA standards will be passed along to the customers as an addition to the price set forth abaH'.
