Their program requires adults using their facility to be dropped off and picked up in front of their building. They would naturally like to ensure that this area remalns open throughout the day for this purpose. They are therefore requesting that the above mentioned parking restrictions be . established to fulfill this operational need. Staff has reviewed this request and has determined that the requested parking restrictions should not severely impact adjacent properties. It is therefore staff's recommendation to approve the request. Supporting Information o open Circle Day Care Center Letter o Resolution 94-29 ,~~~~ ~ee ustafso, Public Works Director . March 2, 1994 Mr. Lee Gustafson City of Hopkins 1010 First Avenue South Hopkins, MN 55343 - -. Dear Lee: I am writing to you on behalf of Open Circle Adult Day Program which will be opening it's new facility at 34 Tenth Avenue South, Hopkins during March 1994. e As a part of our Conditional Use Permit, a loading zone needs to be established along the street directly in front of our building. We would like the zone to be a 15 minute stopping/parking limit Monday through Saturday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM as these will be our operational hours. Our services are used by physically and/or mentally challenged adults who are brought to our facility by Metro Mobility buses and private cars. Many of the individuals have difficulty walking and we would also need the boulevard area cemented over to prevent accident or injury. Thank you for your assistance and support. Please feel free to contact me if you need additional information at 667-4587.
