CR 94-57 Resolution Supporting St Louis Park . \ \ y 0 . m March 10, 1994 ~ 0 ~ ~ Council Report: 94-57 P K \ RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK'S ISTEA FUNDING APPLICATION Proposed Action. staff recommends adoption of the following motion: "Move to aptlrove Resolution 94-31 supportinq a Federal ISTEA funding application by the City of st. Louis Park for the development of the trail corridor alonq the east side of TH 169 from County Road 3 to Minneapolis." Overview. The Cities of st. Louis Park and Hopkins have been working together for a few years in an attempt to develop the trail corridor along the east side of T.H. 169. This effort included a submittal of an ISTEA funding application last year that unfortunately did not rank high enough to obtain any funding. st. Louis Park is in the process of revising the application for this years submittal of ISTEA projects, and would like to include a resolution of support from the City of 4It Hopkins in their application. Supporting this proj ect does not in any way commit the city to any financial obligations. If funding is approved for this project, the city would be able to review the project at that time to determine if the minimal share that would be required by the City of Hopkins should be spent on this project. staff therefore feels that the city has nothing to lose on this matter and everything to gain, and should therefore support st. Louis Park in their funding application. Supporting Information o Resolution 94-31 ~~~ Lee Gusta on,' uhlic Works Director . . .
