The city's ordinance concerning disable parking and transfer zones allows for such space on residential streets based on a per,rnit system. After initial application to the City, the resident must renew the request each subsequent year and pay the yearly permit charge of $25.00. Primary Issues to consider 0 Eligibility The resident at 904 Second street North has requested a transfer zone at that address to facilitate the loading/unloading of a disabled parent. The most suitable area to undertake this is from the carriage walk extension of the sidewalk from the house. The street near the carriage walk is usually taken up by parked cars. The . resident has submitted a request and the required $25.00 fee. CITY OF HOPKINS Hennepin County, Minnesota RESOLUTION NO: 94-51 RESOLUTION APPROVING INSTALLATION OF A DISABLED TRANSFER ZONE - 904 SECOND STREET NORTH WHEREAS, the City Code makes certain provisions for the designation of disabled transfer zones on city streets and the installation of signs therefore; and WHEREAS, the city Code stipulates applicant eligibility provisions for such transfer zones and a permit fee; and WHEREAS, the resident at 904 Second Street North has made application for a disabled transfer zone on Second Street North in front of the home, meets the eligibility requirements, and has submitted the necessary fee. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, By the city council of the city of Hopkins, Minnesota: Such application for a disabled transfer zone is hereby . approved and the City Engineer is instructed to arrange for the installation of signs at the earliest appropriate time.
