Alley Reconstruction Proposed Action. Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council ado'p,t Resolution 93-84. Resolution Orderina Preparation of Assessment Roll - Mainstreet Service utilities. proiect 90-04B: Sidewalk Improvements 2nd Street N.E.. Pro;ect 92-10: Allev Reconstruction. proiects 92-11 and 93-13. Adoption of this resolution will begin the assessment process for the above-referenced projects. Qverview. The City has already levied the special assessments for utility services on Mainstreet between 5th and 11th Avenues. Final costs for the utilities for the remainder of Mainstreet are almost complete. Staff also feels that it will be able to calculate costs to be assessed against the 2nd street N.E. sidewalk project . and the three alley reconstruction projects. staff can proceed with preparation of assessment rolls and anticipates returning to Council at its September 7 meeting with the preliminary rolls and a request to set a hearing date. Sanitary sewer and water main service lines, fire services and certain private improvements, Mainstreet reconstruction, City Project 90-04B 2. Sidewalk installation 2nd Street N.E., City Project 92-10 3. Alley reconstruction, City projects 92-11 and 93-13 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA: It 1. The engineering superintendent shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land abutting on the streets affected, without regard to cash valuation as provided by law. 2. The engineering superintendent shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the city office for inspection and shall notify the Council thereof. Adopted this 17th day of August, 1993. Charles D.
