staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that
Council adoDt Resolution 93-64. Resolution For Award of Bid.

Overview.
council at its May 17 meeting reconsidered earlier approved plans
and specifications for a bituminous overlay project on 2nd Avenue
South and the Katherine Curren Parking Lot. Staff had
recommended reconsideration after it determined the advisability
of expanding the scope of the street project. council approved
the revisions under the likelihood of increased project costs and
ordered bids to be taken. A bid opening was held June 17, 1993.

RESOLUTION FOR AWARD OF BID
BITUMINOUS OVERLAY
CITY PROJECT 93-06
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA,
that the bid of Hardrives, Inc. in the amount of $69,547.04 is
the lowest responsible bid for the bituminous overlay of 2nd Ave.
South and the Katherine Curren Parking Lot, city Project 93-06,
and the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into a contract with said bidder for and on behalf of
the City.
Adopted by the city council of the city of Hopkins this 6th day
of July, 1993.
