Mielke, city Manager Subject: Discussion of 1992/93 priorities Attached to this memorandum you will find both original and redrafted language for the "A Priorities" set by the City council at the February retreat. I would ask that the City council read the priorities as they have been redrafted and to compare them with the "A priorities" listed on the 1992 Goals/Issues page. I will verbally update the council at the worksession on these issues. 1992 - 93 HOPKINS PRIORITIES The following represent community priorities as determined by the City Council in February of 1992: . 0 Initiate program to maintain and upgrade the Westbrooke neighborhoods 0 Plan, develop and implement a program to attract and retain business to Hopkins 0 Review and define the role of the City in the area of social service programs and funding. 0 Initiate improvements to the County Road 3 corridor 0 Implement Economic Development profam for the City of Hopkins for all types of land uses and targeting 0 specific sites 0 Develop/maintain City services while maintaining reasonable tax rates 0 Determine the feasibility of redevelopment of the County Public Works facility and specifically, address the possibility of industrial uses on the sIte The above language is in draft form and has not been formally adopted by the City Council ...... . 1992 GOALS/ISSUES [IDrnbl~ 1r .
