Widmer, Inc. is a qualified bidder with equipment and manpower to complete the project on schedule. In past projects the City had a positive relationship with this firm on the 6th Avenue storm Sewer Project. o Is the bid reasonable? The bid is approximately $1400 higher than the engineer's estimate. It is staff's opinion that the bid is competitive. In light of that and the fact that no assessment appeals have been filed in district court, staff recommends award of contract should be made. o When can construction begin? Construction can begin as early as June 8.
