APPLICATION FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING PREMISES PERMIT
AT LINDEE'S FOR THE JAYCEES
Staff recommends approval of the following motion: Move to adopt Resolution 97-
72, approving application for lawful gambling premises permit change of class at
Lindee's Saloon and Eatery, located at 919 Cambridge Street, for the Hopkins
Jaycees.
Adoption of this motion allows the Jaycees to add bingo to the list of approved
activities at this location.
Ov rview
The Jaycees requested that the premises permit for this location be changed from a
class "B" permit to a class "A" permit. At the present time the Lawful Gambling
License that is held by the Jaycees is a class "A" license but the premises permit
for this location is a class "B ". The class "B" permit will allow them to play bingo
at this location.
Primary Issues to Consider

Primary Issues to Consider
This is not an expansion of sites. The Jaycees already conduct gambling at this
site. This will allow them to add "Bar Bingo" to the list of activities available at
this site. A number board that hangs on the wall randomly lights numbers.
Customers pay $1.00 for a bingo sheet and mark the numbers as they Tight up.
The pay is $20 for bingo.
Alternatives
1. Approve Resolution 97 -72 allowing the addition of bingo to the premises permit
for Lindee's Saloon and Eatery.
2. Do not allow the class change permitting bingo at this site.
Staff recommends alternative one.
