Proposed Action.
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 98 -75,
Resolution Accepting Work and Ordering Final Payment, 1997 EVP Project.
Overview.
The contractor has completed the detector installation phase of the 1997 emergency vehicle
pre - emption system project. The contractor has performed on punch list items to the engineer's
satisfaction and the consultant recommends final payment.

Accepting work and final payment
The contractor has met all contract obligations. The work is done satisfactorily and the
contractor has submitted a "Consent to final payment from surety" form. Currently the
contractor is gathering other documents such as lien waivers and the IC -134
withholding form for submittal. Staff recommends approval of final payment.

Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work, orders final
payment, and initiates a one -year warranty on the contract work.

RESOLUTION 98 -75
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WORK AND ORDERING FINAL PAYMENT —
1997 EVP PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on October 30, 1997,
Electrical Installation and Maintenance has satisfactorily completed the improvement of
installing an emergency vehicle pre - emption system at certain intersections, commonly known as
City Project 97 -06 or S.A.P. 132- 030 -02 and S.A.P. 132 - 020 -12 in accordance with such
contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS,
MINNESOTA:
1. The work completed under said contract is hereby accepted and approved.
2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the contractor's receipt
in full.
3. A one -year warranty on contract work shall commence upon the adoption of this
resolution.
