CR 99-199 Neighborhood Meeting Legislative Policy C\IY OF - October 27, 1999 HOPKINS Council Report 99-199 NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING LEGISLATIVE POLICY ProDosed Action. Staff recommends the following motion: Move to approve Resolution 99-104. approving a legislative policy to require neighborhood meetings for conditional use permit and rezoning applications. At the Zoning and Planning meeting, Mr. Gross moved and Mr. Szuba seconded a motion to approve a legislative policy to require neighborhood meetings for conditional use permits and rezoning applications. The motion carried unanimously. Overview. Because of a concern for informing the surrounding area when there is a development or rezoning proposed, the attached policy will require the applicants to have a neighborhood meeting. A meeting will be required only for conditional use permits and rezoning. By requiring this meeting, it is hoped that issues can be worked out with the neighborhood before the application is brought to the Planning Commission and the City Council. A public hearing is still required, and the public will have an opportunity to provide input and comments at this meeting.
