AWARD OF BID SOUTH PARK VALLEY POND MAINTENANCE PROJECT 98-11 Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 99-012, Resolution for Award of Bid, South Park Valley Pond Maintenance. Overview Council at it January 19 meeting approved plans for a dredging maintenance project on Nine Mile Creek at the South Park Valley Pond. Authorization was given for taking of bids and a bid opening was conducted February 1. All bids were reviewed for accuracy and qualifications. RCM Associates has reported having completed successful projects with the low bidder Credentials on other projects were examined and found in order. Ro~ has the equipment and manpower to complete the project successfully and on schedule. Staff . concurs with RCM's recommendation that the contract be awarded to Rosti Construction. o Funding The City's storm sewer utility is the principle source of funding for this project. We checked references for the low bidder and found that their work on projects was acceptable.
