CR 99-45 Order Final Payment Lift Station 5 Reconstruction Project 96-02 CITY OF - February 24, 1999 i-IOPKINS Council Report 99-045 . ORDER FINAL PAYMENT LIFT STATION NO. S RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT 96-02 Proposed Action Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 99-015, Resolution Acceptinq Work and Orderinq Final Payment, Lift Station No. 5 Reconstruction. Overview The contractor has completed the task of reconstructing sanitary Lift Station No. 5 ("Big Meadowbrook") . The contractor has performed on punch list items to the City's satisfaction and final payment lS recommended. Primary Issues to Consider . o Accepting work and final payment The contractor has met all contract obligations and the work is done satisfactorily. The contractor still needs to provide an IC-134 withholding statement form. Lien waivers and a signed certificate of completion are forthcoming. Staff recommends approval of final payment. o Resolution 99-015 Adoption of this resolution acknowledges completion of the work, orders final payment, and initiates a one-year warranty on the contract work. S RECONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, pursuant to a written contract signed with the City on June 3, 1997, Lametti and Sons, Incorporated has satisfactorily completed the improvement of reconstruction of sanitary lift station no. 5, commonly known as City Project 96-02 in accordance with such contract, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF HOPKINS, MINNESOTA: 1. The work under said contract 1S hereby declared completed on February 16, 1999 and accepted and approved. 2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby . ordered, taking the contractor's receipt in full. 3. A one-year warranty on contract work shall commence as of February 16, 1999.
