CR 99-119 Approve Final Payment S Park Valley Pond Maintenance Project 98-11 ~- CITY Or:: ~----~ ~~'> L~,,- ,,--J 0 June 29, 1999 HOPKINS Council Report 99-119 APPROVE FINAL PAYMENT SOUTH PARK VALLEY POND MAINTENANCE PROJECT 98-11 Proposed Action Staff recommends approval of the following motion: Move that Council adopt Resolution 99-055, Resolution Accepting Work and Ordering Final Payment, Pond Maintenance Project 98-11. Overview The contractor has completed dredging work in South Park Valley Pond adjacent to the Nine Mile Cove development. Rosti Construction has performed on punch list items to the engineer's satisfaction and the consultant recommends final payment. Primary Issues to Consider 0 Accepting work and final payment 0 The contractor has met all contract obligations and the work is done satisfactorily. The necessary IC-134 withholding form is forthcoming as well as a signed certificate of completion. Staff recommends approval of final payment. 0 Resolution 99-055 Adoption of this resolution formally acknowledges completion of the work, orders final payment, and initiates a one-year warranty on the contract work. The work completed under said contract is hereby declared accepted and approved. 2. Order for final payment on such contract is hereby ordered, taking the contractor's receipt in full. 0 3. A one-year warranty on contract work shall commence as of this resolution. Adoption by the City Council of Hopkins, Minnesota this 6th day of July, 1999. Charles D.
