Proposed Actnon
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move to approve the recommended budget
adjustments in 1999 for the purchase of a rebuilt conditioner for the Ice Resurfacer at the
Pavilion/Ice Arena.
Adoption of this motion will result in an increase in the expenditure budget for the Pavilion/Ice
Arena in the amount of $4,800.
Overview
During the 1999 budget process the request for purchasing this equipment was misplaced but
should have been included in the 1999 budget. The Pavilion Manager must purchase this
equipment in order to maintain the ice sheet quality. The current resurfacer conditioner has ten
years of use. The Pavilion/Ice Arena continues to have a positive working capital balance.
Primary Issues to Consider
() 0 Expenditures to be made are; one rebuilt conditioner for the ice resurfacer at
'--.- ' $4,800, which includes a conditioner core refund of $700. This item should be
recorded in expenditure account 747-48775 - 790.
Cl This budget appropriation increase does not effect the general fund only the
enterprise fund of the Pavilion\Ice Arena.
Recommendation
Finance recommends increasing the expenditure budget listed above by $4,800 for the 1999
calendar year.
