03-16-09 WS March 17, 2009 Page 1 MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION AT CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING Monday, March 16, 2009 Mayor Maxwell called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. Present were Mayor Maxwell and Council members, Brausen, Rowan, Y ouakim, Halverson and City Manager Rick Getschow Other: City Manager Getschow stated that Hopkins TIF bill for extensions on the downtown projects was before the Senate Taxes committee this past week. The bill was laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill. The next appearance will befor~ the House Taxes committee. · City Manager Getschow stated that the foreclosure map will now be available as a link so more detail can be seen regarding the individual properties in foreclosure in Hopkins. City Manager Getschow stated that a calendar for the upcoming CER T classes in 2009 is coming. Council member Y ouakim stated that 5 million dollars is now proposed to be included in the bonding bill for the Southwest LR T. Council member Brausen stated that a resident had asked about a plumbing leak on ih Ave. North. City Manager Getschow will follow-up. Council member Halverson asked about the schedule used for rental inspections of single family properties. City Manager Getschow stated that the inspector, for the most part, is working across the city from west to east but could do inspections in other areas based on request. He will follow-up. With no further business, a motion was made by Brausen, seconded by Y ouakim to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 pm. Rick Getschow, Secretary ....
