RECOMMENDED ACTION
MOTION TO Adopt a Proclamation Honoring JCI Hopkins
OVERVIEW
JCI (Junior Chamber International) Hopkins, formerly the Hopkins Jaycees, has made the
difficult decision to cease operations at the end of 2025. The organization has been an
institution of youth development, civic engagement, and service to others in the city for
75 years.
JCI Hopkins has touched countless lives through support for the Hopkins Center for the
Arts and the Cops N Kids Shopping program, as well as events like Raspberry Festival,
Mainstreet Day, and Halloween in Hopkins.
In addition to numerous alumni throughout the last 75 years, s taff and Council would
particularly like to thank Julie Hauring, Molly Leasure, and Kim Rausch for their
commitment to community service through JCI Hopkins.
