CR 96-71 City Grants Easement To MSP Park• Proposed Action. Primary Issues to Consider. Supporting Information. o Location map o Draft easement o Resolution 96 -38 Jams Gessele Engineering Superintendent cr96 -71 • Staff recommendation Y April 10, 1996 Council Report 96 -71 CITY GRANTS EASEMENT TO NSP CENTRAL PARE Staff recommends adoption of the following resolution: Move that Council adopt Resolution 96 -38. Resolution Authorizing Granting of Utility Easement to Northern States Power Company. Overview. North Star Land Services Company, representing NSP, has requested an underground utility easement over the northerly 10 feet of Central Park. This is to facilitate the placement of underground electrical cable south of St. Joseph's Church. • Routing of a proposed NSP Cable NSP needs to provide an additional feed to St. Joseph's Church because of the loss of a feed from the former Suburban Chevrolet site. An existing line across the Suburban site will need to be relocated in order not to conflict with movie theater site improvements. NSP proposes that underground trenching is easier through the park than through bituminous driveways and parking lots and has therefore chosen Central Park as a solution. • City Charter requirements The charter requires land disposal or easement encumbrance transactions done for consideration. If the City grants this easement consideration will be for NSP to provide an electrical feed point to a picnic shelter at the north end of Central Park. Staff recommends adoption of Resolution 96 -38 authorizing a utility easement in favor of Northern States Power Company. n • QI N : CQI SNIWdON AO A1I3 to oN h' 7T6r ]1Nx N r IR ¶1101 WI 2 i 0 = • '— uol IXl s l tl S h S. 3Atl H /01 a oam 93EY111u C 3Atl 9C9 dl 90N h 19 3111011•01 09 ON 9911 IV Ii9999999ltl\ M • 09 In N g 119 2 Hil I t4 I OM tom d1 1 yp 1 MI romd dI `Os of 12 W IL' A as 0 L19 pl CI 1 9rg IMO id i 921 $SIl: 1 8 li 91 _A 1 8 net 9z1 09 3r 02:) y 1 - 92) rl - I j>9lmo a kV 0 211 z. 921 ZIT 1 •l nr "l i ' ti l l s 0 21 r1 v 1151\ ¢l)CI R IOU twi 1 trb • n • QI N : CQI SNIWdON AO A1I3 to oN h' 7T6r ]1Nx N r IR ¶1101 WI 2 i 0 = • '— uol IXl s l tl S h S. 3Atl H /01 a oam 93EY111u C 3Atl 9C9 dl 90N h 19 3111011•01 09 ON 9911 IV Ii9999999ltl\ M • 09 In N g 119 2 Hil I t4 I OM tom d1 1 yp 1 MI romd dI `Os of 12 W IL' A as 0 L19 pl CI 1 9rg IMO id i 921 $SIl: 1 8 li 91 _A 1 8 net 9z1 u 9zt, z 3r 02:) y 1 - 92) rl - I 1 13 .: 921 kV 0 211 z. 921 ZIT L DM) 921 ' ti l l s !921 r 1 ° 921 l " °921 5 _ i, 9 ( K) 11 S Cttl iz 99 1 i[1K • u n r 1 - • zi 1 r.,71 «; z •r 1: Li 7 7 6 1 MEW n • QI N : CQI SNIWdON AO A1I3 to oN h' 7T6r ]1Nx N r IR ¶1101 WI 2 i 0 = • '— uol IXl s l tl S h S. 3Atl H /01 a oam 93EY111u C 3Atl 9C9 dl 90N h 19 3111011•01 09 ON 9911 IV Ii9999999ltl\ M • 09 In N g 119 2 Hil I t4 I OM tom d1 1 yp 1 MI romd dI `Os of 12 W IL' A as 0 L19 pl CI 1 $SIl: sr . . a Y ° F' S•• 910 awl z...
