Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: "Move that Council adopt Resolution 96 -48. Resolution for award of bid, Wellhouse #1 Renovation." Bids were opened on May 9, 1996 for the above referenced project. Seven bids were received and are tabulated below. The low bidder was M.C. Magney Construction Inc., Excelsior, MN. The city's consultant, RCM Inc. has checked the bids and has reviewed the qualifications of the low bidder, M.C. Magney Construction, Inc. Their review of the contractors qualifications and past experience meets their criteria, and they are recommending that the city award the contract to M.C. Magney Construction, Inc. The current total project cost is $675,200 ($631,000 - construction + $44,2000 - design & construction administration) o How will the project be funded?
