0 Project costs and future assessments
Using the low bid of Gunderson Brother's Cement as the basis for
calculating special assessments to be levied, we can assume that
assessments for Project 96 -05 will be about $28.00/ff or $2.00
higher than estimated in the feasibility study. Assessments
for Project 96 -06 will be about $31.00 /ff the same estimate used
in the feasibility study. The engineers estimate for the private
parking lot improvements is approximately the same as the
contractor's bid.
• Staff recommendation
Three bids were received and tabulated. The low bidder was
Gunderson Brother's cement. Staff has reviews all bids and
Gunderson's qualifications. The contractor has a superb reputation
in the Twin City area and has a good work record in past Hopkins
projects. The engineer recommends award of bid to this firm.
