RE: 1996 Hopkins Community Image Awards
Thirteen nominations for the 1996 Hopkins Community Image Awards (HCIA) were received and
judged by the HCIA Review Committee. Hopkins Community Image Awards recognize
individuals and businesses who have made an exterior improvement to their property or who have
demonstrated continued superior maintenance of their home or business, which in turn has a
significant positive impact on the image of the City. The Committee recommended five
properties for awards, and they are as follows:

The Hopkins American Legion and Charlie Roemhild, 238 6th Avenue North, received honorable
mention.
Attached are the nomination forms for the properties being recommended for an award. Along
with a plaque which will be presented at the October 1, 1996 Council meeting, the recipients will
have a tree planted in their honor on public property.
