2025-072 Resolution Approving a Conditional Use Permit for Short-Term Rental at 28 Van Buren Ave. SCITY OF HOPKINS HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA RESOLUTION 2025-072 RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR SHORT-TERM RENTAL AT 29 VAN BUREN AVENUE SOUTH WHEREAS, the applicant, Anthony Yanchuk, has submitted an application for a conditional use permit to allow short-term rental of their property located at 29 Van Buren Avenue South; and WHEREAS, the subject property is legally described as Lot 27, Block 20, West Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota; and WHEREAS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: 1.That the above application was initiated by the applicant on September 24, 2025 2.That the Hopkins Planning and Zoning Commission, pursuant to published and mailed notice, held a public hearing on the application and reviewed such application on October 28, 2025; all persons present were given the opportunity to be heard; and 3.That written comments and analysis of City staff were considered; and 4.That the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Hopkins unanimously approved a resolution recommending the City Council approve the conditional use permit for 29 Van Buren Avenue South to be used for short-term rental, subject to conditions; and WHEREAS, staff recommended approval of the above stated application based on the findings outlined in the staff report dated November 18, 2025, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Hopkins hereby approves the conditional use permit application from Anthony Yanchuk to use the property at 29 Van Buren Avenue South for short-term rental, subject to the conditions listed below. 1 . All applicable licensing and permitting requirements of the City must be met before the use commences. 2.No more than 6 adults and their dependent children may occupy the short-term rental at one time.
