Office of the Mayor
It has been normal procedure for the City Council to change liaison roles each year, so
as to provide each of us with the opportunity to experience different boards and
commissions and different issues throughout our terms on the Council.
I have received feedback from members of the Council on various requests for board
and commission liaison positions, and I am writing this memo to outline my proposal for
board and commission assignments for the year of 1997. These liaison changes would
begin with the first meeting of the board and commission after the new year.
I am proposing the following assignments:
Zoning and Planning Commission - Fran Hesch
Park Board - Karen Jensen
Chemical Health Commission - Diane Johnson
Cable Commission - Gene Maxwell
Neighborhood Contact Committee - Gene Maxwell
Raspberry Festival - Diane Johnson
Human Rights Commission - Karen Jensen
The Human Rights Commission has not, to date, had a liaison from the City Council.
The staff liaison has been Jim Genellie, and therefore, it should be known that a
Human Rights liaison is a new position.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience if this schedule is not in keeping with
your thoughts or ideas about liaison assignments. This item should be brought before
the City Council for approval in December.
