PARKING LIMITATIONS - 17TH AVENUE
Proposed Action.
Staff recommends the following motion: Move that Council adopt
Resolution 91 -30, Resolution Maintaining Certain Parking Limitations
on 17th Avenue.
Overview.
The bidding process for the 17th Avenue maintenance reconstruction
project has begun and plans are currently under reviewal by the MN /DOT
District State Aid Engineer's office.
Primary Issues to Consider.
a Why are parking limitations necessary?
In order for this project to receive State Aid funding,
there are certain road width and parking criteria that must
be met. The attached resolution makes no changes from
present parking conditions on the roadway. Parking will be
limited to one side only from County Road 3 to approximately
250 feet south of 4th Street North.

RESOLUTION NO: 91 -30
PARKING LIMITATIONS ON 17TH AVENUE
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on
February 19, 1991, plans and specifications were
approved for a 17th Avenue maintenance reconstruction
project (S.A.P. 132 - 349 -03), and
WHEREAS, certain on- street parking restrictions are necessary in
order for the project to be eligible for State Aid
funding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, By The City Council of Hopkins,
Minnesota:
On- street parking shall be limited to one side only on
17th Avenue except for the following: from 266 feet
south of Mainstreet to 614 feet south of Mainstreet;
from 925 feet south of Mainstreet to 1041 feet south of
Mainstreet; from T.H. #7 to 250 feet south of 4th
Street North.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Hopkins, Minnesota,
this 19th day of March, 1991.
