JOHN'S THE EVANGELIST CHURCH Proposed Action. Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: Move that the Hopkins city council adopt Resolution #91-26 approving the qambling license application of st. John's the Evangelist Church and also approve a 3.2 beer license. Adoption of this motion will allow the gambling application to be considered by the Minnesota Department of Gaming and will allow the Church to sell 3.2 beer at their spring festival. overview. st. John's the Evangelist Church has requested a gambling license for April 20, 1991- st. John's will be conducting gambling in . conjunction with its annual fund raising festival. st. John's was granted a similar license in 1990. The church will also be selling beer during the festival.
