RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE WELLNESS COMMITTEE
Proposed Action
Staff recommends adoption of the following motion: move to
adopt Resolution 91 -94 supportina the Wellness Committee.
Adoption of this resolution will recognize the significant
impacts a properly run and supported Wellness Committee can
have on the health and vitality of the employee work force.
overview
r The City of Hopkins has had a Wellness Committee for the
past two years and, in fact, it has received a budget
allocation in each of those years. However, the City
Council has never formally adopted a resolution supporting
and encouraging the Wellness Committee activities.
Staff is recommending the proposed resolution as a means of
formally recognizing and supporting the activities of the
Wellness Committee.
Primary issues to consider
0, Why is the Council being asked to support this
resolution?
While the Wellness Committee has been in existence for the
past two years, it is now receiving more formal recognition
by the administration and hopefully, the City Council.
The Wellness Committee has designed and operated in a number
of Wellness activities for the employees and part of the
formalization process includes formal recognition by the
City Council and hopefully, its support.
